William K and I hope you have a pleasant, as well as informative, experience on my site. this is my home page where traditionally most webmasters state the purpose of their site. rather than that,
I will simply dedicate it, with a tip of the hat, to the Appalachian people and their way of life. people who are forged and molded by conditions they contend with daily, and have emerged collectively speaking, as highly spiritual, deeply loyal, innocent, protective, strong-willed, generous to a fault, and with a strong work ethic. perhaps their toughness, independence and strength of character and resolve have been precipitated by a cauldron of sometimes trying weather conditions which with poor wages and poverty, little industry, have resulted in the aforementioned stereotype. however, on the bright side, with the introduction of i75, i40, and i81 together with global warming these conditions have mellowed somewhat. the images on this site of the great smoky mountains national park can be imagined with the earlier narrow winding mountainous roads which lay snow - covered over half the year creating a veritable nation in its own right, with little or no ingress or egress. in recent years, as
I stated these conditions have mellowed and the mountain empire has made apparent to all, the ideal conditions for industry, tourists, the arts, education, and farming, that rest in wait for the enterprising individual or individuals.
